BRATTLEBORO, Vt. -

Vermont State Police say they caught a woman with more than $40,000 worth of items that she allegedly stole.

Donna Ditchkus, 51, now faces charges in a number of burglaries across southern Vermont.

She was arrested Tuesday in Brattleboro.

Police say they found more than 100 stolen items, including a number of antiques taken from stores.

The arrest came after a multi-state investigation into burglaries in Putney, Dummerston, Marlboro, Wilmington, Dover and Brattleboro.

Authorities expect to make more arrests and say more items may be recovered as well.

Ditchkus is scheduled in court in April.
