A member of Gov. Peter Shumlin's own party hopes to force him to show his preliminary ideas for funding single-payer.
Rep. Cynthia Browning, D-Arlington, submitted a Freedom of Information Act request to see draft plans and studies regarding possible tax schemes to pay for 2017's health reform.
Single-payer is projected to cost between $1.6 billion and $2.2 billion.
In January, the governor pledged to release a "menu of options" to pay for it following Town Meeting Day. But he recently announced that he will break that promise because the ideas are not fully vetted.
