It was a fun, but frigid Sunday night in Lake Placid as the Olympic Village welcomed back eleven U.S. athletes from the Sochi Winter Games with a parade down main street.
Fans braved the cold to cheer on the local standouts and the hardware they brought back. Dartmouth's Andrew Weibrecht, who won a silver in alpine skiing was in attendance. As well as Utica's Erin Hamlin, who took bronze in the luge, becoming the first U.S. women ever to medal in that sport. Steve Langton and Steve Holmcomb showed off their bronze medals won in two-man bobsled, the first U.S. hardware in that discipline in 62 years.
They were joined in the festivities by bobsleder Justin Olsen and luge athletes Chris Mazdzer, Tucker West, Aidan Kelly, Summer Britcher, Matt Mortensen and Jayson Terdiman.
