We have some fun ideas for your Sunday, March 23, 2014.

ANTIQUES ROADSHOW

Have you ever seen the show Antique Roadshow? We've got our own version of it happening in Vermont today! It's happening in Bradford. The Antique Appraisal Fair will have expert appraisers there to determine the value of art, jewelry, books, furniture and more. It costs 4 dollars for each appraisal   Proceeds benefit the Oxbow Community Scholarship for Excellence. It's from 1-4 p.m. at Oxbow High School in Bradford.

ORCHESTRA CONCERT

The Vermont Symphony Orchestra is doing a Pete Seeger Tribute Concert. Proceeds benefit Hudson River Sloop Clearwater.  That's happening at 4:30 p.m. at the First Unitarian Universalist Society in Burlington.

COUNTRY DANCING

Take a trip to Windsor County for English Country dancing. You'll be taught the dances at this celebration of the traditional art form. You don't need a partner, but you do need clean-soled shoes! That starts at 3pm (3-6 p.m.) at Tracy Hall in Norwich.

MAD RIVER GLEN OPEN HOUSE

There's a 'Mountain Moments' Open House at Mad River Glen. Skiers can chat with Mad River Glen's staff naturalist about the wildlife and ecosystems found on the mountain. That starts at 1:30pm at the Kent Thomas Nature Center and its free.

MAPLE OPEN HOUSE WEEKEND

We've got some snow to deal with but that's not stopping the Maple Open House weekend!

Visit Vermont sugarhouses across the state and watch as maple syrup is being made. It's a family tradition and you can be a part of all the fun! Find a list of participating sugarhouses here: http://vermontmaple.org/2014-maple-open-house-weekend/

Just make sure you call ahead to see if they're boiling because the sap is not so plentiful right now.

SUGAR ON SNOW PARTIES

The Audubon Society is hosting sugar on snow parties this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, visit: http://vt.audubon.org/events/sugar-snow-parties

FOUND FOOTAGE FESTIVAL

The Found Footage Festival is coming to Higher Ground in South Burlington with an all-new 10th anniversary show on Sunday, March 23rd. Tickets to the Found Footage Festival are $12 and are available at the door or at www.foundfootagefest.com. The event showcases videos found at garage sales and thrift stores and in warehouses and dumpsters throughout North America.

RANDO RACE

It's the third annual Rando Race at Bromley Mountain. Rando – short for randonnée – ski racing hearkens back to skiing's early years, when skiers challenged the mountain both up and down, without the help of chairlifts. Using climbing "skins" with alpine touring or telemark bindings (or even "split" snowboards), racers start at the base of the mountain, ascend it, then descend it (on marked in-bounds ski area trails), as fast as possible, over multiple laps, up to 5,000' cumulative vertical.
