Heroin intercepted by Mass troopers

HOLYOKE, Mass. -

Police say they intercepted 1,400 baggies of heroin which were on their way to Vermont.

The bust happened Wednesday on Interstate 91 in Holyoke, Massachusetts.

Massachusetts State Police pulled over 41-year-old Nicole Farone of South Wallingford for traffic violations. Police say that's what led to the Vermont woman's arrest. Police say the drugs were heading to Vermont. Farone was arrested on multiple charges. A passenger in the car, 23-year-old Kasey Cota of Rutland, was issued a summons for possession and conspiracy.
