CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire'sHouse has reversed a position it took in January and rejected legalizing up to1 ounce of marijuana for recreational use for anyone age 21 and older.

The House voted 192-140 Wednesday tokill the bill that also would legalize growing up to six plants. It would allowup to 10 cultivation facilities to be established and apply a $60 per ounce taxat the wholesale level.

The House voted 170-162 in January togive preliminary approval to the bill and asked the chamber's tax writingcommittee to review it. The committee voted 14-5 to recommend killing the billbecause it legalized commercial sales of the drug without proper controls.

Bill supporters argue consumers already are usingmarijuana without the protections the bill would provide.
