TORONTO, ONTARIO / ACCESSWIRE /  March 28, 2014 /
Insight Vacations (www.insightvacations.com), the leader of premium and luxury escorted journeys, celebrates Holi, India’s Spring festival and the world’s biggest colour party, with a 12 per cent savings (up to $1,295* per couple) available on selected departures for six of their most in-demand itineraries to India, Nepal and Bhutan. Travellers will discover the cultural riches, spiritual harmony and intriguing history that make these destinations some of the most fascinating in the world. Each tour includes a host of Insight’s Signature Experiences that not only offer sightseeing highlights like the Taj Mahal or the pink city of Jaipur, but also show travellers the country through the eyes of the locals. Guests will learn how to cook delicious delicacies with a Bhutanese chef, witness a candle-lit Aarti ceremony on the banks of the Ganges in Varanasi and meet an expert naturalist who will show them the wildlife of tropical Kerala.

“The Holi Festival is a jubilant celebration of colour and the perfect way to usher in the spring season in India with Insight Vacations after our long Canadian winter,” said Cris David, president, Insight Vacations Canada. “As the India Specialists, we are offering travelers the opportunity to discover the grand spectacle of India and its surrounding neighbours with our fantastic promotional offer, and we encourage clients to book early so they can experience the trip of a lifetime through the timeless splendours of these inspiring destinations.”

Insight’s guests will travel in comfort and safety, escorted throughout by the region’s finest Tour Directors. They will stay in outstanding hotels at every stop, such as the fantastically modern five-star Le Meridien in New Delhi, or the world-renowned Taj Lake Palace in Udaipur.

Colours of Rajasthan

For countless generations, travellers have been drawn to the mystical traditions and timeless beauty of India. Travellers can immerse themselves in the vast continent’s intoxicating sights and sounds with Insight’s new 12-day Colours of Rajasthan itinerary. Insight’s Signature Experiences include a visit to the famed Taj Mahal and an evening cruise on Lake Pichola in Udaipur, which is considered the Venice of the East. Insight guests will live out their romantic dreams by staying at an Insight signature hotel, the five-star Taj Lake Palace hotel. Film buffs will be delighted to learn that the James Bond film, Octopussy, was filmed on these premises.

Mystical South India

Insight’s guests will journey to the colourful sights, coastal villages and ornate spiritual temples of Southern India on this new 12-day Mystical South India escorted holiday. On a morning excursion to the small island of Kumbalangi, guests will partake in a Signature Experience to see how the locals spin golden palm fibres into coir and tap the palms for sap to make a potent drink called ‘toddy’. In Thekkady, they will be treated to a stay at an eco-friendly resort and join an expert naturalist for a cruise through the waterways of Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Towards the end of the trip, they can relax at an Insight signature hotel, the opulent Leela Palace in Chennai with its spectacular seafront views and world-class amenities.

Bhutan – Dragon Kingdom

Bhutan, the “Land of the Thunder Dragon” has received numerous accolades as the top must-see destination in Asia for its authentic culture and the preservation of its breathtaking landscape. This mystical kingdom renowned for its ancient traditions, devout Tibetan Buddhist religion and vibrant monastic festivals continues to dazzle guests with its peaceful way of life and gentle-hearted locals. Insight Vacations’ new 12-day Bhutan – Dragon Kingdom showcases the nation’s natural beauty, stunning monasteries and fortresses, and the famous trek to the Tiger’s Nest monastery perched on a cliff.
