Sentencing for North Troy crash that killed elderly couple

ST. ALBANS, Vt. -

A St. Albans woman behind a crash that killed a Northeast Kingdom couple is heading to prison.

Alexis Gabree, 27, pleaded guilty to two counts of gross negligent operation with death resulting and was sentenced to 6-15 years in prison.

Police say Gabree was speeding and under the influence of drugs in 2012 when she crossed into the path of a car on Route 105 in North Troy. That crash killed Edmund Moran, 82, and his wife, Margaret, 76.
