The state is changing its $84 million deal with CGI, the company hired to create the Health Connect website.
Changes to the contract set new deadlines for the troubled project and also create millions in penalties if those deadlines are not reached. CGI agreed not to contest $5 million in late penalties already assessed for the health exchange and the state can assess another $2 million if the rest of the work is late. The deal calls for the website to be fully functional by mid-summer.
The two biggest items still not working are sign up and billing for small businesses and allowing individual clients to update their information online.
