It appears the Joshua Handverger saga in Winooski is now over.

Handverger was the city manager and was frequently at odds with the City Council. He was fired in 2008 after nearly a year on the job. Handverger sued because his dismissal hearing was scheduled on Rosh Hashanah. Handverger is Jewish and says that interfered with his right to practice his religion with his family in Massachusetts.

A federal judge found in the city's favor. Handverger appealed and now that decision has been upheld.
