We've got a wide variety of ideas for "What to Do" today, whether you're a gardener or a music fan.

PUPPET SHOW

At one o'clock at the Barre Opera House, you can bring the kids to see No Strings Marionettes' Jack and the Beanstalk. The Vermont masters of puppetry present Jack and the Beanstalk, retold with all the magic and mischief their marionettes can muster! Tickets are six dollars.

MUSIC SERIES

Hot Club of Cowtown comes to the After Dark Music Series. The Austin, Texas trio are one of the hardest-swinging Western groups on the planet. That's at 7:30pm at the Town Hall Theater in Middlebury. Tickets are 35 dollars at the door.

PLANT OPEN HOUSE

For garden enthusiasts ready to start thinking about planting, head to the Red Wagon Plants Open House in Hinesburg. You can check out hardy plants and ready-to-eat salad greens. That's from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

CHORAL CONCERT 

The Montpelier Chamber Orchestra & Onion River Chorus perform Mozart and Brahms with Guest Conductor Richard Riley. That's at 4 p.m. at Chandler Music Hall in Randolph.
