Gov. Shumlin's public appearance schedule

MONTPELIER, Vt. -

Governor Peter Shumlin has a busy public schedule this week.  He is scheduled to visit the Springfield area Monday and will be back in Montpelier for most of the rest of the week.

Here are the details of his public schedule released by his office.

Monday, April 7

11:00 a.m.           Tour Black River Meat, 25 Fairbanks Road, North Springfield

12:00 p.m.           Speak at the Springfield Rotary/Chamber Meeting, Nolin Murray Conference Center, 40 Summer Street, Springfield

Tuesday, April 8

9:30 a.m.              Sign Equal Pay Proclamation, Ceremonial Office, State House

10:00 a.m.           Speak to the Governor's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities, 4th Floor Conference Room, Pavilion Building

10:30 a.m.           Greet the Bennington Chamber of Commerce, Ceremonial Office, State House

11:00 a.m.           Greet the Boys & Girls Club of Vermont, Ceremonial Office, State House

11:15 a.m.           Speak at the Barn Preservation & Grant Awards, Cedar Creek Room, State House

11:45 a.m.           Press Conference with Lt. Gov. Phil Scott, Green Up Day, In front of State House

1:00pm                 Attend Governor's Veterans Advisory Council, 4th Floor Conference Room, Pavilion Building

4:00 p.m.             Welcoming remarks at Norwich University/Calvin Coolidge Fund Drug Forum, Plumley Armory, Norwich University, Northfield

6:00 p.m.             Speak at Boys & Girls Club of Vermont Youth of the Year Dinner, State House Cafeteria

    Fundraising numbers are in from the candidates running for Vermont's top public office. Governor Peter Shumlin continues to out-raise his Republican opponent Scott Milne. Since August 15th, Governor Shumlin running for his third term in office has added 34 thousand dollars to his war chest. He's now raised over 600 thousand dollars this campaign.     A Springfield mechanic is accused of operating an illegal car inspection sticker ring. 29 year old Benjamin Millay allegedly stole around 30 inspection stickers from his former employer the Springfield Auto Mart and sold them on the side to cars that otherwise would not have passed inspection.
