COLCHESTER, Vt. (AP) - A large solar array and an agricultural business are some of the beneficiaries of $5.2 million in loans from the Vermont Economic Development Authority.

Vermont Public Radio reports the solar array in Barton is getting $1 million to be built on 24 acres on Route 16.

Mack's Meats in Grand Isle plans to buy the former Champlain Valley Meats slaughterhouse, closed since 2009, and reopen it, serving small and large-scale farms.

Other recipients include The Inn at Manchester for expansion of its events and weddings business; IBEX Outdoor Clothing in White River Junction to buy materials; E and J Realty and Upper Valley Produce to purchase the former Legare's Farm Market; and Utility Services in Waterbury for vegetation management services.
