With the spring season finally in bloom, college and high school lacrosse programs took to the turf today for exciting competition.
In America East Conference action, the Vermont men's lacrosse team fell to Binghamton on Alumni Weekend, 9-6. The Catamount women dropped a 12-9 decision on the road to UMBC. In that game, attacker Sydney Mas tallied three points to move into first on UVM's all-time points list at 244. In NE-10 Conference play, St. Michael's rallied from an early deficit but fell to No. 9 Le Moyne, 9-5.
At the high school level, several boys teams put on impressive offensive displays in their first games of the season. In South Burlington, the Rebels topped Mount Mansfield, 23-1. At Virtue Field, CVU defeated Essex in a rematch of last season's DI Championship, 16-2.
