Burlington's credit rating outlook has improved.
Moody's Investors Service says it has bumped the city from negative to stable.
Officials credit Burlington's recent efforts to stabilize the general fund, as well as its pending settlement in the Burlington Telecom lawsuit with Citibank.
If approved by the Vermont Public Service Board, Moody's says it will significantly limit the General Fund's liability.
Burlington's improved credit rating comes after four years of downgrades.
