Police in Burlington are on the hunt for a man who they say tried to kill his ex-girlfriend Saturday night.

Police say just after midnight, the 34-year-old David Godin kicked in the front door to the woman's home and then left. He later came back and choked her and took her phone so she couldn't call police. She was treated at the scene.

Police tried to track him own but couldn't find him.

Then, police say he came back a third time at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday while she wasn't home and broke in and damaged things.

Police say he is not a danger to the general public, but they are asking for your help to find him.
