City councilor on Burlington gun control measures

Posted: Updated:
BURLINGTON, Vt. - On Town Meeting Day, Burlington residents voted to ban guns in bars, seize firearms of suspected domestic abusers and require guns be locked up at home. Municipalities are barred by state law from regulating guns, so Burlington proposed them as charter changes, which must get legislative approval. But lawmakers had no appetite for a contentious gun control debate.

Norm Blais, D-Burlington City Council, appeared on the Morning Show to talk about guns in the Queen City.
