Johnson State College cuts jobs

Posted: Updated:
JOHNSON, Vt. - There were staff cuts at Johnson State College on Monday.

The school says five positions are being cut to help close a $1.5 million hole in the 2015 budget. The school says enrollment is declining and financial support from the state is flat. The school also says seven other jobs are being reduced to 80 percent and another is being reduced to 50 percent part-time. The cuts and reductions will save the school $450,000 in salaries and benefits.
