SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. -
The highly anticipated opening of Vermont's first Trader Joe's brought out a big crowd Friday morning.
The store on Dorset Street in South Burlington opened at 8 a.m., with a line of customers waiting to get in.
The chain is known for quality products, unique snacks and low prices.
"It's easy to shop... on the small items, they have a good selection of organics as well as their brand name stuff. It's really great," shopper Mike Poulin said.
"I think they will fit in really well here. There are a lot of organic things; there are a lot of fresh things that are just amazing. They will do really well," shopper Sarah Havers said.
Trader Joe's is right next to specialty food market Healthy Living. Retail experts have said they expect the two stores to do complementary business.
