There's plenty to do in Vermont on this Saturday, May 17, 2014.

WOOFSTOCK

Bring your best friend and celebrate at Woofstock! Demos, vendors, a silent auction and a shelter dog parade make for a memorable pooch party. The money raised helps out the Addison County Humane Society. It's from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Basin Harbor Club in Vergennes.

YARD SALE

If you're looking for a great bargain, the West Rutland Yard Sale is the place to be! More than 60 locations are offering up deals in the town-wide affair. It started at 8 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m.

MEDIEVAL FAIR

The Medieval Fair & Bratwurst Fest is happening at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Jericho. Get transported back to the 1500s for a day of fun from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

FIDDLE BAND

Burning Bridget Cleary has been called "the Allman Brothers of Celtic fiddle bands". They're performing tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Tunbridge Town Hall in Tunbridge.

FRISBEE GOLF

Smuggler's Notch is holding a free Learn to Play Disc Golf Day on their 18-hole Brewster Ridge course Saturday from 1pm - 4 pm (location 1239 Edwards Road, Jeffersonville). Their disc golf course designer and program manager is Jeff Spring, the current Vermont state disc golf champion.

MEMORIAL DAY PARADE

The parade starts at 10 a.m.at Georgia elementary school and goes to the center market. There will also be a concert by the Glen Family Pipers, a ceremony to honor those who served in the armed forces, and cannon donated by Richard and Danielle Jackson.

VETERANS MEMORIAL DEDICATION

South Burlington is dedicating its veterans memorial at 2 p.m. at Dorset Park and Swift Street. That goes until 3 p.m. with formal speakers and community events. The rain date is Sunday at Cairns Arena.
