SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. -
A new face in the race for Lieutenant Governor.
Democrat John Bauer announced he is running for the state's number two spot. Bauer's background includes stints in radio as well as time as a reporter and editor at the Vermont Journal. His political experience includes working for Vermonters for Dean in 2004 and managing Susan Bartlett's campaign for Governor.
"I am all about the economic issues. I think we need to start enacting some programs and start changing some rules so we can keep investment in Vermont rather than sending it off to Main Street. I also think there are things we can do to support the middle class and business owners in the state," Bauer said.
Bauer works as the Sound Supervisor at the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center. He is the father of two and lives in Jeffersonville with his partner Lauren.
