Vermont's resident rock star is raising awareness about a disease that touches us all.
There are 11,600 Vermonters are diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. That number is expected to rise to 17,000 by 2025. It's often under recognized.
On Tuesday the Alzheimer's Association will host the fifth annual Reason to Hope Dinner
Normally she rocks out onstage but Tuesday Grace Potter will be in the spotlight talking about a cause close to her heart.
"My family has been dealing with Alzheimer's since the age of 10," said Potter.
Potter will offer words of encouragement at the Reason to Hope event.

The event has risen more than $90,000 so far that will benefit Vermonters dealing with the disease.
