Jeanne Collins lands new job

Posted: Updated:
BURLINGTON, Vt. - Outgoing Burlington Schools superintendent Jeanne Collins has found her next job.

Late Wednesday night the board for the Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union voted unanimously to hire Collins to a one-year contract pending negotiations.

Earlier this month Collins announced her resignation from Burlington after taking heat over the district's ongoing budget problems.

Collins told WCAX News she is very excited to be joining the district and looks forward to working alongside the talented educators.
