Another 30 days behind bars for Tashia Beer Francis

Posted: Updated:
It's another month in jail for a former Vermont woman who plotted to kill her stepmother.

Tashia Beer, 29, now goes by Tashia Francis. When she was just 14, she convinced her foster brother to kill her stepmother, Vicki Campbell-Beer, in their West Burke home. Francis served time for manslaughter.

After her release, she moved in with a convicted felon in Las Vegas. That is a violation of her parole, so prosecutors pushed for her to serve the rest of her sentence behind bars.

Judge Robert Bent opted for another 30 days instead. After that, it's back on probation for Francis. And the judge ordered a change in her conditions that will allow her to live with a convicted felon, who is the father of one of her children, following a three-month waiting period.
