Burlington park hosts tree climbing championship

Posted: Updated:

Saturday, Oakledge Park in Burlington will be turned into a tree climber’s paradise for the 26th annual Tree Climbing Championship.

The tree climbing event is put on by the New England International Society of Arbor Culture.

From speed climb to work climb, there will be five different stations to master. Kids can also show off their skills with a tree climb.

Reporter Gina Bullard: What do you want spectators to take away?

Bill Conn, NEC-ISA president: Our job is not just climbing trees...we manage trees for people to enjoy.

It's an event that leaves you wanting more.

All the fun kicks off Saturday bright and early at 7:30 a.m. and will be going for most of the day.
