BURLINGTON, Vt. -
Burlington's Discover Jazz Fest was in full force on Church Street Friday night.
The 10-day event is designed to share jazz with fans and newcomers alike.
Every year organizers hope to boost appreciation for the art form through a mix of free and ticketed concerts and educational opportunities.
This year's line-up includes close to 70 artists with performers including Tony Bennett.
Folks on Burlington's Church Street say the festival is great for the city's music scene and the economy.
"I just hope they get the buzz that they start listening to a few things, try to latch onto a name or two, and go home and Google these people. Buy their music, support these people, it's all good," said Danielle O'Hallisey from "Storm Cats.”
"Who is going to want to miss Tony Bennett, just amazing that he’s going to be performing in Burlington," said Becky Cassidy from Church Street Marketplace. For more information on the event click here.
