Man attacked at a rest area

WATERBURY, Vt. -

Police say a Northfield man was attacked at a rest area.

It happened around 5 a.m. Saturday at the Waterbury rest area on Interstate 89. Police say 25-year-old Bryon Stueber was awoken by a man who asked for help fixing a tire.

Police say Stueber was then attacked. He was hit in the head several times and stabbed in the chest. He was treated at the hospital and released.

Police say both suspects were white men with slender builds.
