How to do a proper tick check on a child?

Lyme disease is transmitted by deer ticks that typically feed April through August. A daily tick check is recommended for everyone who spends some time outside, so Executive Producer Christine Hinkel sought out a pediatrician to learn how to do proper tick check on a child.

Dr. Joe Hagan, pediatrician, says if you find a tick remove it with tweezers and don't worry if some of the tick stays attached, just use a credit card to scrape the rest off.
