LEBANON, N.H. (AP) - Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and a Vermont educational group are partnering to train and employ 20 medical assistants and 10 pharmacy technicians.

Working with Vermont HITEC, up to 30 people will be selected for 10-week training programs at Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Lebanon, New Hampshire. The free training will prepare participants to take either the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board exam or the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant exam.

After training, participants will fill either enhanced medical assistant or pharmacy technician apprentice positions that will receive full wages and benefits.

The deadline for applications is July 27.

Those interested can visit the Vermont HITEC website at www.vthitec.org. For more information or assistance, contact Lisa Dame, Vermont HITEC project leader and mentor via email at lisa.dame@vthitec.org, or at 802-872-0660.
