DALLAS, June 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Attorney Rey Rodriguez, a partner in the Dallas civil appellate boutique Hankinson LLP, has been selected to the D Magazine 2014 list of The Best Lawyers in Dallas, marking his fourth consecutive selection among the city's top legal counsel.

Hankinson LLP is one of only four firms with multiple attorneys selected to the exclusive listing based on their appellate work. Firm founder Deborah Hankinson also was honored for the ninth time in recognition of her expertise in appellate law, arbitration, mediation and trial consulting.

"I do not take for granted the fact that this is, at its core, peer-nominated recognition," says Mr. Rodriguez. "To earn the respect of your fellow attorneys is very gratifying, especially in Dallas where there are so many outstanding lawyers."

To assemble the list of the city's top attorneys, D Magazine sought nominations from lawyers across the North Texas area. A blue-ribbon panel of attorneys helped the magazine's editors determine the final list of approximately 500 honorees, who are recognized in the publication's May 2014 issue and online at http://directory.dmagazine.com/lawyers.

Mr. Rodriguez represents clients in appellate courts throughout Texas and across the U.S., including successfully arguing before the Supreme Court of Texas. He also is a skilled trial attorney, partnering with litigation teams in pretrial preparations through post-verdict motions in order to best position cases for summary dispositions, trials and potential appeals.

In addition to his Best Lawyers in Dallas honors, Mr. Rodriguez has earned selection on the Texas Super Lawyers list each of the past six years. A graduate of the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University, he is Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Hankinson LLP, the preeminent civil appellate firm in the Southwest, provides clients with innovative legal insights and judicial perspective in all phases of litigation. The firm's attorneys work with trial teams to develop strategies designed to put a case in the best position before, during, and after trial. Hankinson LLP represents national clients, regional companies, governmental bodies, and individuals with trial and appellate matters, and offers mediation and arbitration services as well.
