Burlington sculpture exhibit, new interactive experience

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

A new sculpture exhibit in Burlington combines cameras, sound and movement to create an out of this world experience.

The works are on display at the Burlington City Arts Center on Church Street. They are the creation of German artist Bjorn Schulke. The exhibition is called "Traveling Spy." Viewers' movements activate the creatures and set into motion a system of reactions and responses. One is called "Nervous" and it uses a Theremin to produce sound.

"So it really allows us to touch it, it's a creature sometimes, it starts by itself because the Theremin is sensitive to light, air, humidity and temperature changing," said Bjorn Schulke, artist.

The "Traveling Spy" exhibit runs until July 19.
