BENNINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Caretakers of a community garden in Bennington, Vermont, are trying to figure out who uprooted plants from several plots.
Gardner Christina West said plants were uprooted sometime between Sunday afternoon and Monday. Most are gone.
The Bennington Banner reports the Morgan Spring Community Garden donates some of its produce to a local food pantry and was planning to use one of the plots to teach others about gardening and composting.
West estimated a few hundred dollars' worth in produce was lost.
