BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (AP) - Police say a 39-year-old Whitingham man fired a shotgun twice at another man, peppering the victim's arm and car with pellets.
The Brattleboro Reformer reports Tyson Dix pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was released and ordered not to contact the 33-year-old victim, Jonathan Corbosierro.
Corbosierro told police he went to Dix's home at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday to talk about child care plans with a woman with whom he had a prior relationship. He said Dix got angry and fired twice, hitting his car and arm.
But the woman told police that Corbosierro called Dix a derogatory name, was driving aggressively back and forth in front of the house and threatened Dix. Dix said he fired the shots as a warning.
