Vt. woman killed in NH interstate crash

Posted: Updated:
LEBANON, N.H. - New Hampshire State Police have released the identity of the driver killed in a crash on Interstate 89 in Lebanon Wednesday.

Investigators say Heidi Rabidoux, 24, of Colchester, was alone in the car.

Police say Rabidoux lost control when she swerved to avoid traffic. The car flipped several times. Rabidoux was taken to the hospital where she died of her injuries.

The crash happened at about 10 a.m. after a truck hauling tree-cutting equipment snagged some wires, sparking a small brush fire and temporarily shutting down the highway. Rabidoux was headed north when she apparently came upon the traffic, braked and lost control, rolling multiple times and her car came to rest on its roof.

The highway was closed in both directions for more than two hours.
