ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. (AP) - The U.S. Postal Service says there's going to be a full-scale emergency readiness drill at the processing and distribution center in Essex Junction.
The Tuesday drill in the Vermont community will include an evacuation of the facility, the arrival of emergency vehicles and decontamination activities.
It is expected to begin about 6 p.m. and last two hours.
The exercise is designed to simulate an emergency and evaluate the response by the Postal Service, local emergency teams, health care providers and law enforcement to a potential hazardous material emergency.
