BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (AP) - Green Mountain Power wants to tear down its service center in Brattleboro, Vermont - its oldest one in the state - and build a new one.
Utility spokeswoman Dorothy Schnure tells the Brattleboro Reformer the building on Route 30 is outdated and cramped.
She said work on the $2.1 million project would likely start in 2015 if all of the permits are approved.
GMP has 16 service centers in Vermont.
The Brattleboro Development Review Board will consider GMP's application at its July 21 meeting.
