HARTLAND, Vt. (AP) - Vermont's first fully, publicly accessible shooting range is going to be closed for a day for facility improvements.
The Department of Fish and Wildlife says the Hammond Cove Shooting Range in Hartland will be closed Wed., July 16. It will reopen the next day.
Hunter Education Coordinator Chris Saunders says the shooting range would not be possible without the dedication of the Hartland Fish and Game Club whose members keep the range clean, repair target frames and open and close the gate each day.
