Downtown Bennington has gone wireless

Posted: Updated:
BENNINGTON, Vt. - Downtown Bennington has gone wireless.

This week, the town is celebrating its public downtown Wi-Fi zone. It's designed to increase awareness of things to do in town -- and local businesses. Right now it's up and running -- and officials say up to 300 people use the service every day. It was paid for by a grant from the Vermont Digital Economy Project. There will be a cable-cutting ceremony at 7 p.m. Thursday on the Town Office Lawn.
