BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (AP) - Hopefully, the third time will be the charm in the search for a new town manager in Brattleboro, Vermont.
The town select board announced Tuesday it was opening a third search for a manager, with the application deadline set at Aug. 18.
Last year, the select board failed to pick a new manager out of at least 62 candidates. It later reopened its search, drawing 43 applicants.
The Brattleboro Reformer reports two of the candidates received an offer from the town in the second search, but they turned it down.
Last year, Town Manager Barbara Sondag left the post to accept a job in Missouri.
