Nephew of Rutland's mayor pleads guilty to drug charges

RUTLAND, Vt. - The nephew of Rutland's mayor has pleaded guilty to federal drug conspiracy charges.

Nicholas Louras, 28, admitted to selling heroin in the Rutland area. He was first arrested as part of drug roundup two years ago.

Louras could get up to 20 years in prison. He was released pending sentencing and agreed to enter a drug rehab program.

Louras is the nephew of Rutland Mayor Chris Louras.
