DORSET, Vt. (AP) - Police say a Vermont man suffered a head injury while trying to use a rope swing to jump from a quarry into some water.
Police say 31-year-old Timothy Squire of Springfield fell before he reached the water last month and hit his head and shoulder on the rock ledge in Dorset. His condition wasn't known Friday.
The rope has been cut down by troopers, who said this wasn't the first incident resulting in serious injury at the quarry this summer.
Dick McDonough, who owns the quarry, asked that no one create further danger by tying up rope swings or zip lines.
