BAKERSFIELD, Vt. -

The Missisquoi All Stars are ten and eleven year olds are from Enosburg, Fairfield, Bakersfield and Sheldon. The boys finished third in the District 3 Tournament with a 2-2 record. It's not a bad result considering the team that only had two weeks to practice with first time teammates and new coaches.

Dylan, an eleven year old short stop asks, "What do you talk about in the dugout when the team is batting?"

Jose Chavez, Lake Monsters catcher says, "We talk about what the pitcher is throwing. Is he throwing inside or outside? Is his breaking ball throwing into the dirt or for a strike?"

Hunter, a ten year old catcher asks, "Have you ever played another sport besides baseball?"

Trent Gilbert, Lake Monsters infielder says, "Growing up, I tried to play as many sports as I could. In high school and there on out, I only played baseball, but growing up I played basketball, soccer and football."

Dylan, an eleven year old third baseman asks, "What was your favorite position when you were in little league?"

J.P. Sportman, Lake Monster outfielder says, "When I was in little league, my favorite position was definitely pitcher. Obviously, because I don't get to do it anymore. I guess looking back at it, I wish I could be doing it a little more often, but I wish I could go back."
