LONG LAKE, N.Y. - A New York man is dead after drowning in the Raquette River in the Adirondacks.
Police say 20 year-old Nicolas Padilla of Buffalo was swimming with a friend Saturday below the river's Buttermilk Falls when he lost his footing and was swept over a waterfall.  It took emergency crews about three hours to recover his body from the river.
