ST. ALBANS, Vt. -

Vermont state police say theft at a Swanton business was an inside job.

The Leader Evaporator Company says over the past week, more than 21,000 feet of sap collection tubing was stolen.

Thursday, police arrested Jeffrey Domingue, 24, an employee at the facility. They say the St. Albans man ripped off his employer and sold the stolen goods to someone in Georgia. Troopers were able to recover all $2,500 in tubing.

Domingue is charged with Grand Larceny and the Sale of Stolen Property.
