Urban Art creations benefit the Shelburne Craft School

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. - The Wall to Canvas Urban Art Competition is back at Magic Hat raising money for the arts.

Saturday 12 artists created works of art to be auctioned off. The money will go to the Shelburne Craft School. Guests got to also participate. The event included body painting to also help raise money. This is the fundraiser's 5th year.

"They have 2 and a half hours, they start with a blank canvas and just go crazy on it and then at the end we auction off the finished pieces so people here have a chance to take one of these awesome pieces home with them," said Dani Gleason of Magic Hat.

A guest judge picks a winner that receives $500 cash and a solo exhibit at 'Magic Hat Artifactory'. Last year the event raised 8-thousand dollars. Organizers hope to top that this year.
