2014 Vermont Agricultural Hall of Fame inductees

ESSEX, Vt. -

They've made significant contributions to the field of agriculture and now they're being recognized for their efforts.

A full house turned out to honor the 2014 inductees to the Vermont Agricultural Hall of Fame at the Champlain Valley Fair. Each year, a committee chooses four to eight outstanding individuals who go above and beyond the call of farming. Congratulations to Joseph Carrigan, Ronald Greenwood, Richard Moore, Harry Morse Sr. and Lucien Paquette.

"We don't actually have an age limit, but you notice that these tend to be people who have been around awhile and made significant contributions to Vermont agriculture. And I just think it's important that we honor them because they were the beginners of our history here. They stuck with it. They helped as much as they could. It was really important to them and it should be really important to us," said Jackie Folsom, Vt. Agricultural Hall of Fame.
