Celebrating the end of the summer at Burlington's Farmer's Market

Posted: Updated:
BURLINGTON, Vt. -

The Farmer's Market in Burlington saw a good turnout from those enjoying the good weather on Saturday.

Vermont vendors were selling their goods as usual in City Hall Park but being the unofficial last weekend of summer shoppers were getting in their last summer visit.

Market managers say it was a successful season and school starting adds to the crowds.

"We probably get 8 to 10,000 people walking through on a busy Saturday for us. So it's great for the vendors. We've got 94 vendors out here. Great summer," said Chris Wagner, of the Burlington's Farmer's Market Manager.

"I'm looking around, trying to get some fresh fruit or maybe some fresh squeezed juice -- something like that. I haven't been here ever so I'm just looking around, seeing what's out here," said Anthony River, of Champlain College.

City Hall Park will host the farmer's market every weekend until October 25th -- when the market moves indoors in the Memorial Auditorium for the winter market.
