Colchester police search for groping suspect

Posted: Updated:

Colchester police are asking for help finding a man accused of groping a student at St. Michael's College.

Police say the female student reported being groped after leaving the Tarrant Center on the school's campus. She told police she was confronted by the man as she walked to her car. Police say the suspect engaged the victim in conversation and inappropriately touched her before she could get into her vehicle.

"She was able to describe him as a white male, probably in his mid-to-late 20s, early 30s; he had dark hair, short dark hair. He was wearing a black shirt, had a yellow or orange design on the shirt. She didn't know specifically what the design was," said Det. Cpl. Mark Jacobs of the Colchester Police Dept.

Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect to call Colchester or St. Michael's College police.
