This week's Frenzy Focus Game of the Week is a week 2 showdown pitting the last two DI Champions against one another. Middlebury heading to Hartford in a battle of 1-0 teams. Middlebury opening with a 41-29 road win at Essex. Hartford with the 28-20 win over Mount Anthony in Matt Trombly's coaching debut.
Adding to the mix, it was this Middlebury team that snapped the Canes 27-game win streak and eliminated them from playoff contention. On the other side, this is the first real chance for these Tigers to get a win in White River Junction, VT so plenty on the line when these two squads go head-to-head Friday night.
"It's definitely difficult to play Hartford on the road, they're tough, well coached and we have to put on our pads ready to play," Middlebury senior Ian Gill said. "Our last win there was before our time so we'd like to go down there and play well, either way it's going to be a good game."
"They're a very physical team, really tough and well coached," Middlebury senior Connor Quinn said. "It's going to be a very good game."
"Middlebury is always a very good team," Hartford coach Matt Trombly said. "They're well coached and their kids are a lot like our kids, they work hard and believe in their system. We're looking forward to the challenge."
"We're ready to play them," Hartfiord senior Tarun Manthena said. "We need to go out, think about this year and pound them."
It will be one of six games that we'll have for you Friday night at 11 p.m. Remember you can stay in the conversation by using the hashtag #FFFrenzy.
