Donors' Mitten Tree strategy

Posted: Updated:

Donations continue to pour into the Channel 3 Mitten Tree and we couldn't be more grateful.

A big thank you to Tony and Dede Bell of Burlington. They've donated for at least the past five years. This year, they gave 45 items, including waterproof gloves, scarfs and hats. Their strategy is to look for items that go on sale and then grab them up for our Mitten Tree.

We are so lucky to have people like Tony and Dede in our community. Thanks for keeping your eye out to help those who need it most this holiday.

Hats, gloves, mittens, scarves-- things to keep you warm this winter. Many of us take them for granted, but not everyone can afford these essentials. We love the time you take to knit and hand-create items, but we also appreciate waterproof store-bought donations, as well.

Donations can be made at UPS stores in Vermont, New York and New Hampshire. And items can always be dropped off here at WCAX. We are at 30 Joy Drive in South Burlington.
